Water | 60 ml | 250ml |
Sultanas | ½ tbsp | 2 tbsp |

CRUMBLE |

Flour | 2 tbsp | 8 tbsp |
Butter | 1 tbsp | 4 tbsp |

Filling/Base
- Cut the apples into even squares (around 2 cms).
- Add the water, butter and sugar to the saucepan and gently bring to a boil.
- Add the apples and sultanas and reduce until sauce is thick.
- Add the walnuts and a pinch of salt.
- Place into a baking tray.
Crumble
- Sift the flour into a mixing bowl.
- Cut the cold butter into even squares and add to the bowl.
- Using your hands, rub the butter and flour together until it resembles sand.
- Add the oats and sugar and continue to rub until everything is evenly mixed.
- Place the crumble on top of the filling in the baking tray and bake at 180º for 20-25 minutes or until golden on top.
